Fostering Global Impact: CaRe Team's Strategic Academic Engagement in Canada 🇨🇦✨ From August 27–30, 2024, the CaRe Global Network had the exceptional opportunity to engage in a series of high-level academic exchanges and strategic discussions across leading Canadian institutions. The delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Poom Kumam and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiyada Kumam, included members from Walailak University, Université de Lorraine, and the University of Derby. The visit aimed to strengthen international research collaboration, foster knowledge exchange, and explore new avenues for interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of mathematics and computer science.
📍 At McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario), our Level 1 and Level 3 researchers visited the world-renowned McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC), home to the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in transportation electrification and smart mobility. We were warmly welcomed by IEEE Fellow Prof. Dr. Babak Nahid-Mobarakeh and gained deep insights into cutting-edge innovations in electric motors, power electronics, and energy management systems.
💡 On August 28, McMaster University hosted the CaRe Afternoon Technical Academic Discussion, featuring esteemed IEEE Fellows Prof. Ali Emadi and Prof. Babak. This enriching session fostered in-depth academic dialogue on electrical and electronic engineering, offering valuable perspectives and opening doors for future research collaborations.
🤝 The momentum continued with a significant meeting between the CaRe Network and McMaster’s International Affairs Office on August 29. The highlight of this gathering was the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thailand’s three prestigious King Mongkut’s Universities—KMUTT, KMUTNB, and KMITL—aimed at strengthening long-term academic collaboration.
🌍 Finally, on August 30, the CaRe team visited the University of Toronto and Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), furthering our mission of international cooperation. Our collaboration with Prof. Kunquan Lan from TMU focuses on joint research in applied mathematics and computational analysis, reflecting a shared vision for innovation, sustainability, and scientific advancement.
This journey exemplifies CaRe’s dedication to building global academic bridges, empowering researchers, and transforming clean energy innovation through collaborative excellence.
