Members of the CaRe Network participated in the Annual Senior Research Network Conference 2026, led by CaRe key leaders Prof. Dr. Poom Kumam, Prof. Dr. Phatiphat Thounthong, Prof. Dr. Surin Khomfoi, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyabut Burikham. The conference, held on January 16, 2026, from 1:00–5:00 PM at Khum Phucome Hotel, Chiang Mai, was organized under the theme “Modern DC Microgrid Applications for Thailand Sustainable Development: Phase II.” The event aimed to foster knowledge exchange on DC microgrid systems and modern energy technologies that support Thailand’s sustainable development, with a strong focus on advanced control and optimization research.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Phatiphat Thounthong, covering key topics such as Hamiltonian Control Law, Model Predictive Control, Model-Free Control, and their applications in fuel cell, supercapacitor, and battery systems, as well as DC microgrids, power electronics, power-to-hydrogen technologies, and wireless power transfer. The conference was supported by leading national and international organizations, including NRCT, IEEE, KMUTNB, KMITL, KMUTT, Kasetsart University, Université de Lorraine, RERC, and the CaRe Network. Alongside academic lectures, the program featured research presentations, system demonstrations, and strategic discussions to strengthen research collaboration, human resource development, and the translation of research outcomes into real-world and international publications (Scopus/IEEE), marking another important milestone in advancing Thailand’s energy and advanced control research ecosystem.
