Empowering Global Collaboration: Insights from Prof. Dr. Poom Kumam at the University of Derby

On April 15th, 2025, Prof. Dr. Poom Kumam (IEEE Senior Member, KMUTT Thailand), Head of the CaRe NETWORK: Global Research Network Center, delivered an inspiring and insightful talk at the University of Derby, titled “Building a Global Research Network: Strategic Steps for Successful Implementation of the CaRe Global Network Project.”
The session provided a comprehensive overview of the CaRe Global Network’s vision, strategic planning process, key challenges, and impactful achievements in fostering international and transdisciplinary research collaborations. Prof. Kumam emphasized the importance of establishing a clear project mission, setting ambitious yet feasible goals, and implementing scalable infrastructure that supports long-term global cooperation.
He also highlighted the critical role of technology in enabling effective communication and data sharing, as well as the necessity of continuous evaluation and adaptation to evolving global research needs.
