The Mission of Transformation
The RISE 5.0 initiative is a strategic global collaboration aimed at transforming STEM education in underserved rural regions of India and Thailand. Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, the project focuses on Higher Education Institution (HEI) capacity building to meet the human-centric, sustainable demands of Industry 5.0. Led by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Chennai, a consortium of academic and industry partners from India, Thailand, Greece, and Portugal will implement a 36-month phased plan. The initiative seeks to empower over 1,100 educators, engage 10,000 students, and establish more than 50 industry collaborations, ultimately increasing workforce readiness by over 30% in targeted areas.
