CaRe Global Network Strengthens International Collaboration with DATA CoLAB

On May 27, 2026, the CaRe Global Network delegation conducted an academic meeting and site visit at DATA CoLAB, Collaborative Laboratory for Data-Driven Innovation Services in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, as part of the ongoing international collaboration under the RiSE 5.0 / Erasmus+ ecosystem. The visit provided valuable opportunities to explore emerging technologies and innovation frameworks in Digital Twin technologies, data-driven innovation services, smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, AI, IoT, advanced analytics, sustainable innovation ecosystems, and agrobotics applications for smart agriculture.
The meeting created an important platform for exchanging ideas on how universities, research centers, and industrial partners can collaboratively build future-ready ecosystems that connect research, education, sustainability, and industrial implementation. The DATA CoLAB team shared experiences from several European-funded initiatives and collaborative frameworks that support digital transformation through strong academia–industry–government partnerships. The CaRe delegation also presented ongoing developments in the CaRe Global Platform, international research capacity building initiatives, joint academic–industrial collaborations, and future mobility programs—reinforcing CaRe’s vision of creating an interconnected global research ecosystem that drives sustainable innovation and real-world impact.
