CaRe Network and Thammasat University Partner Under Erasmus+ RISE 5.0 Project to Host Workshop on Mathematical Foundations for Intelligent Systems
Sep 14, 2026
On September 17–18, 2026, the Faculty of Science and Technology at Thammasat University, led by CaRe Network member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wutiphol Sintunavarat, under the Erasmus+ RISE 5.0 project, will host a two-day hybrid workshop titled "Mathematical Foundations for Intelligent Systems and Optimization." Accessible both at LC.3 Room 225 and online via Microsoft Teams, the academic gathering spotlights advanced applications of mathematics in AI and optimization. The event features specialized lectures from distinguished international scholars: Dr. Sakan Termkaew (Thammasat Secondary School) on mathematical optimization of deep learning models for blight disease classification: a multi-task approach; Prof. P. Veeramani (IIT Madras) on multivalued fixed-point theories in Nash equilibrium as well as the role of normal structure in fixed-point existence and open problems; and Prof. Dhananjay Gopal (Guru Ghasidas University) on key developments in metric fixed-point theory and fuzzy contractive mappings.
