Biography

Professor Dr. Sompong Dhompongsa received the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 1982. Currently he is a Full-Ranked Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. His current research interests include probability theory, module theory, topology, and functional analysis. In Thailand, he has recently been awarded the Outstanding Scientist of the Year 2007 Award for his work on the fixed point and probability theory. Prof. Dr. Poom Kumam

Biography

Professor Dr. Poom Kumam is a full Professor in mathematics (at age 37 No. 13 in Thailand) the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand since 2015. He is the head of the Theoretical and Computational (TaCS) Center and KMUTT Fixed Point Theory and Applications Research Group. He has been Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher since 2015. He currently serves editorial boards of over 50 international mathematical journals and has refereed for nearly Ioo mathematical and engineering journals.

His research targeted fixed-point theory, variational analysis, random operator theory, optimization theory, and approximation theory. Also, Fractional differential equations, Differential game, Entropy and Quantum operators, Fuzzy soft set, Mathematical modelling for fluid dynamics and areas of interest Inverse problems, Dynamic games in economics, Image restoration, Signal and image processing, Game Theory and Cryptology. He has provided and developed many mathematical tools in his fields productively over the past years. Prof.Dr. Poom has over 800 scientific papers (updated Nov. 2021) and projects either presented or published. He supervises a team of six senior researchers (9 Postdoctorals) and 46 PhD students (November 202I). Moreover, he has addressed many international conferences as invited and keynote speakers on different international conferences every year all around the world.

Prof. Dr. Phatiphat Thounthong

Biography

Professor Dr. Phatiphat Thounthong received the B.S. and M.E. degrees in electrical engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology North Bangkok, Bangkok, Thailand, in 1996 and 2001, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine-Universite’ de Lorraine, Nancy-Lorraine, France, in 2005. Since 2012, he has been a Full Professor with the Department of Teacher Training in Electrical Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. He is the author of 104 scientific papers (including 18 papers in IEEE transactions/magazines) published in Scopus with citations = 2,399 times (without self-citations) and h-index = 25 (without self-citations). His current research interests include: Power Electronics Circuits (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC), Electrical Machine & Drives, Power Electronics & Nonlinear System Control Technique, Electric vehicles, Electrical Devices (fuel cells, photovoltaics, wind turbines, batteries, and supercapacitors) and Observers. Prof.Dr. Thounthong received the First Prize Paper Award from the IEEE Industry Applications Society-Industrial Automation and Control Committee in 2009 (TX, USA), the Third Prize Outstanding Paper Award from the IEEE International Telecommunications Energy Conference in 2015 (Osaka, Japan), the Best Poster Presentation Award from the IEEE International Conference on Electrical Machines in 2010 (Rome, Italy), the 2012 TRF-CHE-Scopus Young Researcher Awards (Engineering and Multidisciplinary Technology), and 2017 TRF-OHEC Scopus Researcher Awards (Engineering and Multidisciplinary Technology).

Prof. Dr. Surin Khomfoi

Biography

Professor Dr. Surin Khomfoi was born in Thailand. He received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok, Thailand, in 1996 and 2000, respectively; and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA, in 2007. Since December 1997, he has been a lecturer with the Department of Electrical Engineering, KMITL, where he is currently a professor. His current research interests include multilevel power converters, renewable energy applications, fault diagnosis, electric vehicle infrastructure and smartgrids. Dr. Khomfoi is a Member of the Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society and a Senior Member of the IEEE. He was a recipient of academic scholarship awards, including full academic scholarship for his B.Eng., M.Eng., and Ph.D. studies from the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO), Ministry of Energy Thailand. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Piyabut Burikham received the B.Sc. degree in physics from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1996, the Certificate of Advanced Study in mathematics in theoretical physics from the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K., in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in high energy particle physics theory from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA, in 2005. From 1997 to 2000, he was a Lecturer with Mahidol University, Salaya, Thailand. Since 2007, he has been a Staff Member and later an Associate Professor with the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Wiyada Kumam received the Edu. degree in mathematics education from Burapha University (BUU) in 2000, and the M.Sc. degree in applied statistics from Chiang Mai University (CMU) in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). Now, Dr. wiyada kumam is currently an associate professor at department of mathematics and computer science, faculty of science and technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT). Assoc.Prof. Dr. Wiyada Kumam her field of interest is fuzzy optimization, fuzzy regression, least-squares method, minimization problem, optimization problems, optimization algorithms, computational image processing and fuzzy nonlinear mappings.

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Thana Sutthibutpong is a computational physicist, who has the main interest in simulations of macromolecules. However, he is also interested in the interpretation of other complex phenomena. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Leeds in 2015 and is currently an associated professor at the department of physics, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nimit Nimana received his PhD in Mathematics from Naresuan University in 2017 and was advised by Professor Dr. Narin Petrot under the PhD student fellowship program of the Thailand Research Fund through the Royal Golden Jubilee PhD Program (RGJ). In terms of research, he is interested in iterative methods for solving convex and nonconvex optimizations and applications in machine learning and image processing. Currently, he is an associate professor in Mathematics at the department of Mathematics, faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University.
